ʻōlelo noʻeau
The 61st annual Hawaiʻi Water Works Association (HWWA) Conference will take place October 15-17, 2025. The Board of Water Supply, City and County of Honolulu, is honored to host this year's conference at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, which is located about 20 miles from the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. Aulani is conveniently located about 45 minutes from either Honolulu or the North Shore.
As always, the HWWA conference will feature educational sessions and networking opportunities, the annual golf tournament and activities showcasing some of the best Oʻahu has to offer, and the William Y. Thompson Award Ceremony and banquet on the final night of our gathering.
Registration fees must be received by 12:00pm HST on Monday, October 6, 2025.
In ancient Hawaiʻi, water was recognized as a resource strictly enforced from mauka to makai to ensure its quality and quantity. In modern days, there is a need to expand our kuleana to include all forms of water: stormwater, wastewater, groundwater, sea water, freshwater, graywater, and recycled water.
The One Water plan is an integrated water resources plan which attempts to manage water as a “…single connected system and creates intentional linkages between water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systems and the utilities that manage them.”
The 2025 conference theme acknowledges that the varied waters we encounter, use/reuse and depend on all flows together from one to the next, onward, and returning in an expansive cycle.
Share your knowledge and insights with peers in the water industry across Hawaiʻi during this year's HWWA Annual Conference. This is your opportunity to contribute ideas and collaborate with others on making long-lasting, far-reaching impacts for our island communities.
The deadline to submit abstracts is Friday, August 1, 2025.
HWWA is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing professional development and networking opportunities for those interested in water utility organization, management, and operations.
